Iran has nuclear power. It is said that Iran is in possessssion of close to 100 kilgrams(about 220) pounds of uranium that is enriched to 20%. Uranium that is enriched to 20% is what is often used to make nuclear weapons. The amount Iran has at the moment is capable of making four nuclearbombs is what General Aviv Kochavi, Israel’s chief of military intelligence said at a security conference on Thursday. Iran has been working to expand their nuclear developments and it is assumed by Israel and a large part of the international community that this drive is to bring them closer to creating nuclear weapons.
Israel,the only known Middle Eastern country to have nuclear weapons(although this has still yet to be confirmed of denied) has warrned Iran against pursuing any plans of creating nuclear weapons. At this security conference Israel made their belief that the Iranian military program had to be stopped saing “Such an unconventional regime must not have an unconventional (weapons) capability.” It is unknown whether or not Iran actually has hold of any nuclear weapons ” but Analysts currently estimate the longest range of an Iranian missile to be about 2,400 km, capable of reaching Israel and Europe.” Is this a significant contributer to the way Israel feels about the situation? Yaalon who is a former head of Israel’s armed forces said, on the subject of stopping Iran’s nuclear progress “That combination must include diplomatic isolation of the regime; the second tool is economic sanctions … and the last thing is a credible military option.” In other words, isolation Iran’s government, cutting of international trade and military attack. What approach would create the best outcome and what approach will most likely take place?
