A group of 40 or 50 people gathered at the Israeli-Palestinian border staging a protest as UN chief Ban Ki Moon crossed over into Gaza from Israel. The protesters held signs that said things such as “enough bias for Israel” and bombarded the convoy with shoes. Mr Ban was on a visit to the region in order to promote peace between the two regions. Many of the protesters who gathered were relatives of Palestinians currently being held captive in Israeli jails.
